I wasn’t too big of a Boyfriend fan when they first came out. It was nothing against the boys, they were talented of course, but it just seemed too generic and there wasn’t anything about them that really stood out for me. Their music was something I wouldn’t mind hearing on the radio, but I wasn’t going to actively seek anything out.

Then in December, while watching Inkigayo (a weekly Korean music program), I happened to notice them on the comeback stage. I recognized the band and figured I’d give them another chance and they completely blew me away.
They were performing a song apparently released in November titled ‘Janus’, and I have yet to get it out of my head. (I think I have played it at least 20 times this week alone.) The new image of the band is wonderful. The choreography, while not entirely unique, was well-designed and well-executed, fitting very well with the music. And the music…. Wow. This song is stunning and I am very proud of the boys for the beautiful work on vocals. Please give them your support and watch the video for ‘Janus’.
Also, the video for ‘I Yah’ was just released on Wednesday of this week! It doesn’t grab me the same way ‘Janus’ does, but it is a good song as well. I look forward to watching Boyfriend more in the future, if this is the image and style they are moving forward with!

Love them! I wish I knew what they were saying and what was happening! I can sort of tell, but knowing the lyrics would be a big help.
I think I like “I Yah” better than “Janus”. It’s got a great pop beat that would be fun to dance crazy around the house to.
You can usually search the band name and title of the song with ‘English lyrics’ in Google to find translations. You won’t find them for everything, but most of the really popular bands at the moment get translated pretty quickly. =)
